One of the most abused and distorted words in the dictionary is the word Capitalism. Since it holds so much power over reality and our consciousness, every word must have an objective, definite meaning. We need objective words because they affect our process of cognition. Capitalism is not what most people talk about today. The global economic crisis was never caused by unbridled Capitalism or free-market system. It was caused by excessive, expansive government intervention. Thus, this group is open only to those who are willing to open their minds and eyes to “real” reality. Capitalism is what makes life possible. If in doubt, try to ask yourself what made the past 100 years the most successful and most unparalleled stretch of all human history. The answer: only Capitalism.
This group is focused on the 2010 presidential candidates in the Philippines. We believe that the best way to protect our freedom and individual rights is to have the right and objective information. This group is non-partisan and members are encouraged to post their views and opinions about the presidential candidates. We believe that for us to protect our freedom and rights, we must be interested in politics. Interest in politics does not mean political partisanship; it simply means you value your rights to life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness.
WE oppose RH Bill not on the grounds of religious argument (that it is anti-Life), but because it is not part of the function of a government to institutionalize slavery, by sacrificing one group to another group. We do not share the sentiments of the religionists and the Catholics that this bill is pro-abortion or against the sanctity of life. We believe this proposition is anti-Life, but we do not agree with the religious position and definition of the term. This bill is anti-Life in the sense that it kills man’s motivation to achieve and the value of man’s achievement. The government seeks to penalize the employers because they are economically stable and successful. It means that anyone who would achieve something in the future would be regarded as fodder for other people’s need. It means that those who love life and achievement would have to fall in line before a sacrificial altar simply on account of their achievement, while those who have not achieved would simply have to collect sacrificial offerings.
This is a collective of Ayn Rand fans in the Philippines. The group’s purpose is to encourage Ayn Rand readers to converge and share ideas and thoughts about AR’s philosophy and its impact on the Philippine setting.
There is no doubt that the Philippines is currently in Atlas Shrugged moment as the Philippine government is becoming bigger and bigger to the extent of disregarding individuals’ civil liberties. This is not a political group- and, to the information of everybody, this group is non-partisan. Everybody has to use his absolute weapon- his reason and mind- to analyze things and decide for his own benefit and self-interest. Anyone can post any comment on this group. It is guaranteed that there will be no restriction, regulation, censorship whatsoever.
