Since many lawmakers in Congress and in the Senate seek to legislate poverty and population by simply passing a Malthusian measure, can it also legislate flooding or any kind of natural calamity? You know when you try to control or centrally plan certain aspects of our economy or our social lives, you must have some omnipotent power or extra-human ability.

Nonstop rains spawned by southwest monsoon left most parts of Metro Manila flooded and 11 (or maybe more) fatalities  on Tuesday (August 7). Is this the ‘inevitable meltdown’ the Inquirer warned us about? Well, man-made global warming pundits can always politicize this latest tragedy to push for their ‘climate change’ agenda.
