An Online Debate with an Ignoramus Filipino Statist: Socialism is Evil

December 27, 2010

I dealt with a lot of critics in the past. Some of these critics had the courage to deal with me on a lot of issues. I admire them for that. I admire a few who value ideas and concepts. However, most were context-droppers and expert evaders. Of all the critics and online debaters who engaged me in a multi-issue debate, the WORST is this RH bill supporter named Tet Gallardo. It’s her utter inability to digest and integrate concepts and ideas that makes her the worst.

Human beings are conceptual beings. Animals are perceptual beings. Animals don’t have the ability to form concepts. Humans do. However, most, if not all, socialists and statists don’t. Most, if not all, of them believe that fascism and socialism are opposites. This explains their inability to identify and understand conceptual categories. They don’t believe that such “isms” as socialism, communism, fascism, Nazism, etc. are all forms of collectivism. They don’t believe that the real battle in a social context is fought between individualism versus collectivism- between freedom versus state controls- between free market capitalism versus socialism/statism/fascism/Nazism/oligarchy.

Stupid statists of the highest order like Tet Gallardo are unable to understand the very simple fact, as they are semi-conceptual beings, that oligarchy, the rule of few government cronies, and all economic crises are caused by government intervention and controls.

To further demonstrate her ignorance, Tet Gallardo said:

“Don’t you get it that with uncontrolled capitalism and efficiency, there will be lesser and lesser need for labor. The trend therefore is that people will become more consumers than producers as companies will rely on automation. Therefore there will be more needy people without jobs consuming more producing less. How do you rectify that except to give things away for free.”

My reply:

First, “uncontrolled capitalism” is redundant. I can give you an industry that was totally uncontrolled over the past two decades. THE INTERNET. It was uncontrolled. Now the US government tries to pass a law to regulate e-commerce and the entire online industry in the name of common good. You said the trend would be that the “people will become more consumers than producers…” WRONG!

Look at the global Internet sector today! Competition is EVERYWHERE! Everybody who has technical knowledge of computer, including those who haven’t like me, can now participate in the global online business!

Again, Tet, the kind of capitalism you’re thinking about is simply NOT what you think. It’s socialism in Cuba and in Venezuela that turns their people into consumers instead of producers! Under a free market, everybody is free to participate in the marketplace. Hong Kong is the best example!

Oligarchy s a form of power structure in which power effectively rests with a small segment of society distinguished by royalty, wealth, family ties, corporate, or military control.

Collectivism means the subjugation of the individual to a group—whether to a race, class or state does not matter. Collectivism holds that man must be chained to collective action and collective thought for the sake of what is called “the common good.”

Now Tet Gallardo‘s following post is one of the reasons why I call her “evil”: “Collectivism worked in the Soviet Union when workers formed cooperatives and profited from their own contributions to the organization.”

My reply: “When millions died of hunger or killed by the Stalin regime? Those cooperatives and collective farms that caused great hunger and famine? Do you even understand your world history? To claim that USSR’s collectivism worked is an INSULT- or a blasphemy- to millions of people killed by the Leninist and Stalinist regime!”
