Video: Delivery Driver Inspires 7/11 Boss
One of the most exciting and pro-capitalist reality TV shows is Undercover Boss. The TV show’s format is to make a senior executive of a company to work as an undercover in their own company to find out how the firm really works, to know how employees’ performance and productivity can be improved, and to reward hardworking employees.
The video clip below shows the CEO of 7/11 who went undercover to investigate ways he could help his company and improve its output. One of the heartwarming and hardworking employees he met is Igor, an immigrant from Kazakhstan. Igor came to the United States with $50 in his pocket and with no idea of the country’s culture. He just wanted to work hard, provide a better future for his family, and live the American dream. Igor’s job is to make deliveries to the stores overnight. Like most immigrants, Igor told Joe that he’s living the American dream and is thankful for his country of choice for allowing him to survive and live a happy life with his family. He just wants to work hard and do his job.
Igor’s story shows that one doesn’t need to be a graduate of Harvard or of any Ivy League university in order to succeed and be respected. Igor is proud of his job and all he wants is to improve his craft. Indeed, this delivery guy is a man of purpose.
Here’s what Igor said that really touched me: “I’m living the American dream now. America is the best country in the world. You, guys, just do not really know how blessed you are.”
Joe: I heard that many times, but I guess you gonna be from somewhere else to realize…
Igor: Because you take it for granted. I came in the US. There’s no English. No knowledge of any culture. Fifty bucks in my pocket…
The first line reminds me of Ayn Rand, the greatest philosopher on earth, who came to America only with a few penny in her pocket. When she addressed the graduating class of the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1974, she said: “I can say — not as a patriotic bromide, but with full knowledge of the necessary metaphysical, epistemological, ethical, political and esthetic roots — that the United States of America is the greatest, the noblest and, in its original founding principles, the only moral country in the history of the world.”
However, the last statement reminds me of Barry Sotoero, aka Barack Obama, who’s now out to complete the destruction of America with his socialist policies. It reminds me of the Mayor of New York City who allowed the Islamization of the greatest city in the world through his politically correct politics. It reminds me of the liberal intellectuals from graduated from Harvard University like Elena Kagan and company who are currently aiding Obama in destroying America. People who think should also be reminded of the geniuses at the Federal Reserve who continue to expand the money supply and destroy every working family in the US with their Keynesian policies and principles. To borrow Joe’s words: “I guess you gonna be from somewhere else to realize…” Without America, the world will no longer be free.
Watch and enjoy!
